Soda blasting is one of the most
efficient and effective methods of preparing and cleaning many surfaces
and materials. Some of soda blasting’s many applications include the
removal of graffiti from brick and concrete, cleaning of boat bottoms,
removing carbon, char, and odors from buildings damaged by fire,
refurbishing stainless steel kitchen equipment, oil and grease removal
from engines, removing offensive odors in stairwells, cleaning
washrooms in manufacturing facilities, removing paint from brick and
steel, neutralizing rust, line removal off highways and parking lots, our process has proven to be successful.
Aircraft Bodies & Parts:
Soda blasting is an alternative to traditional chemical stripping processes. Sodium bicarbonate is a soft blast medium with a heavier specific gravity and less hardness than most plastic abrasives. The use of sodium bicarbonate significantly reduces the amount of hazardous waste generated compared to chemical stripping. It also reduces the number of hours required for paint stripping as compared to chemical stripping. Most applications do not require pre-washing and masking and there are no size limits for parts being stripped. Also, blast media is usually less expensive than plastic media, wheat starch or CO2.
